Watered with Love Layette

This weekend I will be attending my good friend Laura’s baby shower. 🙂 She has been a friend since high school and was in my wedding. I want her to have something extra special, so I decided to sew something for her and her-baby-to-be-born. The Watered with Love Layette was what I settled on! It is a layette set pattern with a baby gown with sleeves you can turn to cover little hands, hat and t-shirt. I just made the gown. The first gown is made from an upcycled tee- it was so soft it screamed to be used for a baby! I didn’t end up with enough fabric for the little hat, so I just sewed up the gown in a size 0-3months. I loved it so much I sewed up another one in a different print with little puppies on it! It really didn’t take too long to sew up and it turned out pretty cute- but I may be biased!

When my children were tiny I loved little gowns and how easy they made diaper changes. I am going to make up some booties, too.  I just need to decided what kind I am going to make…you might get to see those, too!

Make sure you go over to Hopeful Threads to see more Create H.O.P.E. Designs patterns being sewn up by others! Remember all proceeds from these patterns go to help orphans in need. 🙂
