Birthdays and Such

Both Richie and I have had a birthday in the last few weeks! I made myself a yummy 4 layer chocolate cake. It was delicious, but I think next time I will make it a two layer cake. Four layers of chocolatey goodness was a bit much to handle. I also made homemade ice cream. We had lot of snow on the ground and it works well as a crushed ice replacement! No picture right now since my computer is weird and is turning all my cake pictures into goat pictures…which reminds me. WE HAVE GOAT KIDS!

Richie turned seven on April1st. We had a party for him last Saturday. He had all his little friends over(their were 13 children!)  and played games and ate cake with strawberries on top! It must have gone over well, because when I went to put the little bit of cake that was left away I noticed that a little person had eaten the remaining strawberries off the cake! Little stinker…

I also made Abigail a dress to wear for Easter. She didn’t have a dress in her size. One of the ladies at church had given me this fabric and it was perfect! I added piping, a button bib, and buttons on the bloomers for a little pizazz. I used McCall’s 8536 to make it.

Sorry for the randomness of this post. It has been a long week. All the children are sick and two have had trouble with ear infections. Even Abigail has her first cold. 🙁

The little dress and bloomer set is so pretty on your precious daughter! The piping and little buttons on the bloomers are my favorite details. The party looks like fun. Happy birthday to all!
